The Abyss
As earth humanity approaches
the event horizon of
unfathomable moral decay,
even a train wreck
seems sped up.
We had better learn to climb,
for the surface light
resembles starlight
from a distant galaxy,
in a world devoid of necessity
but overflowing with desire.
